Sky News: Photobox Group in talks to combine with Albelli
Sky News reports the owner of U.K.-based Photobox Group – private-equity firm Exponent – is in “advanced talks” combine with continental personalized printing competitor Albelli (also known as Albumprinter Holding). The combined business would be worth £500 million. City Editor Mark Kleinman writes the deal is close to being finalized but could still fall through.
Albelli operates Bonusprint, which is in Belgium, France, Norway, and the United Kingdom. In 2018, Albelli acquired monAlbumPhoto for an undisclosed sum. Albelli is owned by Gilde Buy Out Partners.
Photobox, which is present in France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, successfully floated its Moonpig greeting card business on the London Stock Exchange earlier this year.
